1. Jamunkhadi Simsar
Jamunkhadi Simsar is one of the best places to visit in the Jhapa district. It is located in Surunga VDC, 9 km west from Birtamode, Jhapa which occupies around 20 Bighas of land with many attractions. It is a part of the Jamunbari Community Jungle Consumer Committee. The place included two ponds Ganga and Jamuna, but due to lack of protection, Ganga was no longer exists and only remains Jamuna Pond.
This place is led by Parshuram Giri. The most attractions of this place are the zoo, a place for boating, children’s fun park, and a picnic spot. At the zoo, we can see many animals such as Porcupines, Vultures, Anacondas, Bears and Chinese rats, and many more.

2. Arjundhara Jaleswordham
Arjundhara Temple is one of the famous religious places of Jhapa. It is located at the Arjundhara VDC, 5km north from Birtamode. A nun, ‘Khedababa’ had discovered this place, and after that people made this temple and named Arjundhara Jaleswor Dham. It has an ancient history of Arjun, a talent person in bow and arrow art in Mahavarat times.

This temple is 64 years old, The local people believed that place had named after the character Kichak, his own negative attitude towards the queen Draupadi killed him in the Mahabharata times.
